Gail Brook

Gail Brooks

Before joining Isle Care Gail worked in retail management. Gail joined Isle Care in 2000 as an assistant manager at Steephill one of the older persons homes.

In 2002 Gail started assessing NVQ candidates within the home. In 2003 Gail then moved to become registered manager in one of Isle Care's learning disability homes. Gail continued to be a registered manager but she also took on the role of assessing NVQ candidates throughout Isle Care. In April 2006 Gail took up the role as a full time trainer for Isle Care.

Elizabeth Spinks

Elizabeth began work in 1994 with Isle Care as a care assistant in a home for adults with learning disabilities. Whilst in this position Elizabeth was co-worker to a number of clients and helped to formulate and review care plans. In 1997 Elizabeth became the registered manager of an Isle Care home and was responsible for the day to day running as well as ensuring that policies and procedures were in place and up to date.

As well as this Elizabeth supervised a team of carers and provided statutory training for them. There was a need for Elizabeth to conduct risk assessment and ensure safe methods of work were used. Elizabeth Left the home in 2004 to start a family and in 2005 she returned and joined the Isle Care training team as an NVQ assessor.

Joanna Smith

Joanna started her career as joint manager for a home for older persons alongside her mother. She moved from there to work in another older persons home as a supervisor; it was there that Joanna became a work based assessor for NVQ’s in 1992. She gained her certificate in management studies and NVQ in care, after this she went on to work as a full time assessor. Joanna achieved her IV award in 2004 and shortly after this she joined the Isle Care training team as a training coordinator, assessor/IV.
