Introduction
Steephill has a rich history, being built originally as accommodation for nurses working at the Royal National Hospital for Diseases of the Chest in Ventnor. The historical link between the two sites is maintained to this day, as part of the tunnel under the road between the two buildings, which enabled the nurses to walk safely to and from work, is still in place.
It is located in Ventnor, which is known for its mild climate, making it a popular seaside resort, and the home enjoys stunning views of the coastline.

Accommodation
The accommodation at Steephill is of an extremely high standard, and includes a number of comfortable lounges and informal seating areas, a large dining area and well tended gardens. All rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished and have ground floor or lift access, and are fitted with a call system.
Steephill is home to up to 35 residents. Each resident has a single bedroom, ensuring their privacy and independence; some also have a balcony so that they can enjoy views of the Botanical Gardens.
There are varied menus; ensuring choices for residents. These are served in the dining room, although residents can have meals in their room if they prefer
The home enjoys entertainment from visiting professionals and also has a weekly trip out in a minibus to destinations suggested by residents through their residents meetings.
Staff
We offer 24-hour care or Day Care options; this is always provided by a dedicated and experience team of staff. Our staff have been trained to the highest standard and being part of Isle Care ensures that all staff are offered on-going training to ensure we provide the best possible service.
