The Somerset Care Group is one of the largest care providers in Southern England, offering community, residential, and nursing care, and training for our own staff and client companies.
We provide services for both private and publicly funded clients and are a not-for-profit organisation, so the surplus we make is re-invested into the services we provide to them.
When we were formed in 1991 our vision was to be a leading provider of high quality accessible care, professional and vocational training and associated services, and we remain true to our vision. We hold the Investor in People accreditation.
Our services help clients with a variety of different needs, from children and families requiring community care to adults with learning or physical disabilities, and older people looking for residential, nursing or home care. In recent years we have invested heavily in our properties, which have been transformed into state-of-the-art care homes with well-proportioned en-suite rooms, beautifully furnished communal areas, and landscaped gardens.
Whatever your care needs, you will find that our staff are dedicated to helping you live as active and fulfilling a lifestyle as possible. Our training company, Acacia Training & development Ltd, provide an extensive skills development programme for all our staff to ensure we have a well-qualified, highly motivated workforce to care for you, and also provides courses and skills development programmes for client companies and individuals.
- We offer 26 nursing and residential care homes throughout Somerset, and one in Gloucestershire
- Isle Care as one of the groups subsidiaries provides services to both older people and people with learning disability through its residential and domiciliary services. It also has a training arm and provides extensive in house and external training
- We provide over 1360 places in our homes with specialist provision for elderly mentally infirm, intermediate and respite care
- We deliver over 24,000hours of domiciliary care every week to clients in their own homes in Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset, Hampshire, Berkshire, Portsmouth, and West Sussex
- We offer nursing care at 6 locations across the South West, in Bridgwater, Somerton, Taunton, Tetbury, Wellington and Yeovil
