Job Profile
The Internal Verifier is responsible for ensuring that Assessors are trained, competent and qualified; maintaining and monitoring arrangements for processing assessment information and providing confirmation to the Awarding Body that assessment practice is to National Standards.
Principle Responsibilities
- IV Support to:
- External Clients - 37 Homes (approx)
- Somerset Care at Home - 10 Bases
- Somerset Care Ltd - 25 Homes
- Isle Care (Isle of Wight) - 19 Homes
- Assessors - 120 approximately
- Conduct IV visits, 4 x ½ day visits for each home per year (approximately - depending on Assessor needs and number of candidates).
- Carry out Assessor checks ½ day each per year.
- Represent the Company at meetings e.g. ACTAN, TOPSS etc.
- Arrange and participate in EV Visits.
- Standardisation meetings - usually three per year for:
- External clients
- Somerset Care at Home
- Somerset Care Ltd Homes
- Isle Care (Isle of Wight)
- Assessment and Training:
- Provide A1 Assessor support for candidates (to be fitted in with IV visits).
- Assessment of NVQ Care Level 3 and 4.
- Carry out other duties relevant to experience and qualifications (to be negotiated).
