Isle Care Films
Isle Care’s drama group have produced two information films to help their service users understand both the complaints procedure and the recruitment process. The topics were explored in the safe environment of a workshop setting and the resulting ideas were eventually filmed, with service users having a huge input at every stage. The completed films have been shown to all of Isle Care’s service users.
By providing a training resource to each Isle Care service user the organisation is facilitating and empowering them to be more aware of the selection process for a new carer, and the part they are able to play in that selection. Once a selection is made additional resources are provided showing service users how to use the complaints procedure should it become necessary.
A further video / DVD (viewable on a home DVD player) called "Our Service Providers" has been produced with users' participation, giving their views on the service they receive. Click here or scroll down to view it.
