Isle Care News Autumn Edition
First published on: 4th October 2009
Hello and welcome to the relaunch of Isle Care News. This is a newsletter with you in mind; we want your stories and pictures so we can share with the other residents in other homes.

A Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine
Simon, Sharon & Kirsten from Venner Avenue enjoyed a great day out at Havenstreet Railway station with Thomas the Tank engine on Saturday 25th July 09. It was a perfect sunny day and enjoyed by all.

In the Garden with Doreen
These pictures show Doreen watering the troughs at the front of the house and picking the runner beans and Tomatoes that she has been involved in from the start and is always looking to see if there are any ready to pick.

Yarmouth Carnival
Here are a few pictures of the residents of Saxonbury when they entered the Yarmouth carnival on the 15th August and they went as the Wizard of Oz; they were awarded a highly commended certificate, which they were all, pleased with.

Above is Martin as the tin man and Stephen as one of the Munchkins with Martin parading the certificate for all to see.
The above picture is of the whole group and staff whom supported them throughout the parade. The designing of the costumes was done mainly by Polly with input and a little help from some of the residents.
Martin (Tin Man), Stephen (Munchkin), Keith as the Wizard and behind him is Claire (support worker) as the Wicked Witch of the West.
Glow Bowling
On bank holiday Mon 31st Aug all the residents went to LA Bowl for the evening and enjoyed a game of glow bowling. Miss Margaret is thoroughly enjoyed herself and was the only person to get a strike.

The photos are John getting ready to bowl, Margaret getting her strike, next is Stephen and the imaginary ball! More Margaret. Next is Robert who loved the atmosphere at the bowl and last but not of course least is Martin. We are thinking about an Isle Care league each month. Let us have your thoughts.
Well that's it folks, I hope you have enjoyed reading the first new issue of Isle Care News. Please send in your pictures and anything else you would like to be included in the winter edition of Isle Care news by 11th December 2009.
